Rinse the brown rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
Add the rice and water to a medium saucepan, bring to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes or until tender.
While the rice cooks, place the chicken breasts in a mixing bowl.
Add olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well to coat the chicken evenly.
Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill over medium heat.
Place the chicken on the grill and cook for 6–7 minutes on each side, or until fully cooked and juices run clear.
Remove the chicken from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
Fluff the cooked rice with a fork.
Slice the grilled chicken and serve over the brown rice.
